Stephen Price is a postdoctoral research associate at the Bristol Glaciology Centre. His research focuses on using 'higher-order' ice flow models to understand how ice dynamics affect the evolution of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. Stephen graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1995 with a BSc in geology and went on to study glaciology at The Ohio State University. After receiving his MSc from OSU in 1998 he worked in support of the glaciology program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center until 2001. Steve received his PhD in geophysics from the University of Washington in 2006. His dissertation work involved developing a new, full stress ice flow model and applying that model to obtain a better understanding of the evolution of ice stream onset regions. He has spent numerous field seasons conducting research on the Greenland Ice Sheet, the East and West Antarctic ice sheets, and the Juneau Icefield in Alaska/British Columbia.
