Rosemary is currently coordinating the UCL component of the 2011 experiment to validate CryoSat measurements of sea ice thickness. You can read her blog here.
She went on secondment from her PhD in 2010 and worked in the Scottish Government on Climate Change Economics for three months, looking at the economic considerations related to low-carbon technologies and businesses, in the Office of the Chief Economic Advisor.
She spent six weeks on an icebreaker in September-October 2007 gathering data on sea ice off East Antarctica.
She received 1st class honours for the MSci degree in Astronomy from UCL in 2006. She was then a Young Graduate Trainee with the European Space Agency in Madrid.
